[March 13&14] DoGS SPRING Program – Transferable Skills Training –

Workshop: Finding your Transferable Skills through research experience

Part 1. Self-assessment based on your research funding applications (45min.)
Part 2. Mobilizing your knowledge and research methods in society in various situations (45min.)
Part 3. Wrap up (20min.)

Looking at universities around the world, Kyoto University has a particularly high ratio of graduate students to undergraduate students, and its advanced education and research characterize it. However, until now, there have not been many opportunities to think about how to use the skills acquired through research in society, including academic institutions, after completing a PhD course.
In this workshop, you will learn how to recognize your own knowledge, research methods, and ways of thinking that are expected of you, a person with research experience in society, and how to mobilize these in different settings effectively.
This workshop would be relevant to offer participants the opportunity to make their transition to the labor market more successful and impactful.
